Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) qualified for the 2010 The Shoot-Out playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-6 against Robert Schlender (Edmonton, AB). of the 2010 The Shoot-Out in Edmonton, Alberta;
 
Martin finished 4-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Martin defeated Colin Griffiths (Grande Prairie, AB) 10-5, then won 7-3 against Brandon Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) and 5-2 against Brent Bawel (Calgary, AB). Martin won 6-3 against Steve Mackey (Calgary, AB). Martin went on to lose 7-4 against Warren Hassall (Lloydminster, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Martin earned 6.690 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the The Shoot-Out, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 290.740 total points. Martin ranks 29th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 6.690 points earned so far this season.
