Randy Ferbey (Edmonton, AB) won 6-1 over Jean-Michel Menard (Gatineau, QC) in the Final of the Challenge Casino de Charlevoix, held November 26 - 29, 2009 in Clermont, Quebec. To advance to the championship game, Ferbey won 7-2 over Pierre Charette (Etchemin, QC) in the semifinals of the 2009 Challenge Casino de Charlevoix in Clermont, Quebec; and won 5-3 over Serge Reid (Saguenay, QC) in the quarterfinals.
 
Ferbey finished 3-0 in the 29-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ferbey defeated Charette 7-2, then won 6-3 against Greg Richardson (Ottawa, ON) and 5-3 against Martin Ferland (Quebec, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Challenge Casino de Charlevoix Championship title, Ferbey earned 22.240 world rankings points along with the $12,000CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, Ferbey did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Ferbey ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
