In their opening game, Folk lost 7-6 to Sean Beighton (Seattle, WA), droppimg another game, 9-4 to British Columbia's Andrew Bilesky where Folk responded with a 6-5 win over Steve Waatainen (Nanaimo, BC). Folk won 7-4 against Korea's Chang-Min Kim, then won 6-2 against Bryan Miki (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Folk earned 5.580 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Kamloops Crown of Curling.
