Randy Bryden (Saskatoon, SK) qualified for the 2009 Whites Drug Store Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 3-1 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB). of the 2009 Whites Drug Store Classic in Swan River, Manitoba;

Bryden finished 4-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bryden defeated Murray Woodward (Ste. Anne, MB) 10-3, then won 6-4 against Allan Lyburn (Brandon, MB). Bryden went on to lose 5-3 against William Lyburn (Brandon, MB). Bryden lost 5-3 to Brent Scales (Swan River, MB) where Bryden responded with a 7-3 win over Greg Todoruk (Dauphin, MB). Bryden won 5-4 against Lyburn in their final qualifying round match.
