Carruthers responded with a 6-4 win over Murray Woodward (Ste. Anne, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Carruthers earned 7.160 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Whites Drug Store Classic. For week of the event schedule, Carruthers did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
