Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) won 6-3 over Dave Boehmer (Petersfield, MB) in the Final of the Whites Drug Store Classic, held November 6 - 9, 2009 in Swan River, Manitoba. To advance to the championship game, Martin won 7-1 over Terry McNamee (Neepawa, MB) in the semifinals of the 2009 Whites Drug Store Classic in Swan River, Manitoba; and won 3-1 over Randy Bryden (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2009 Whites Drug Store Classic in Swan River, Manitoba;
Martin finished 4-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Martin defeated Manitoba's Blair Goethals 9-1, then went on to lose 6-4 against William Lyburn (Brandon, MB). Martin responded with a 6-2 win over Saskatchewan's Shawn Joyce. Martin won 8-3 against Travis Graham (Thompson, MB), then won 6-5 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Whites Drug Store Classic Championship title, Martin earned 14.320 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, Martin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Martin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
