Karen Bell (Listowel, ON) qualified for the 2009 Brampton Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-2 against Heather Carr Olmstead (Toronto, ON). of the 2009 Brampton Curling Classic in Brampton, Ontario, Canada;
 
Bell finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bell defeated Cathy Auld (Toronto, ON) 6-4, then won 10-7 against I Scott (Brampton, ON). Bell went on to lose 10-3 against Allison Ross (Ormstown, QC). Bell responded with a 6-3 win over Jacqueline Harrison (Alliston, ON). Bell won 6-4 against Colleen Madonia (Thornhill, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Bell earned 4.350 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Brampton Curling Classic. For week of the event schedule, Bell did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Bell ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
