To advance to the championship game, Auld won 7-5 over Stacey Rodwell (Hamilton, ON) in the semifinals of the 2009 Brampton Curling Classic in Brampton, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-5 over Alison Goring (Toronto, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2009 Brampton Curling Classic in Brampton, Ontario, Canada;
Auld finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Auld lost 6-4 to Karen Bell (Listowel, ON), then responded with a 10-5 win over Colleen Madonia (Thornhill, ON). Auld won 9-2 against I Scott (Brampton, ON), then won 8-7 against Allison Ross (Ormstown, QC) and 8-3 against Jacqueline Harrison (Alliston, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Brampton Curling Classic, Auld take home 7.250 world rankings points along with the $2,250CDN prize. For week of the event schedule, Auld did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Auld ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
