Julie Hastings (Toronto, ON) won 7-5 over Cathy Auld (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the Brampton Curling Classic, held October 26 - November 1, 2009 at the Brampton Curling Club in Brampton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Hastings won 7-3 over Heather Carr Olmstead (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals of the 2009 Brampton Curling Classic in Brampton, Ontario, Canada; and won 8-4 over Mary-Anne Arsenault (Halifax, NS) in the quarterfinals. of the 2009 Brampton Curling Classic in Brampton, Ontario, Canada;
 
Hastings finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hastings defeated Lynne Middaugh (Orillia, ON) 10-0, then won 8-3 against Kathy Brown (Guelph, ON). Hastings went on to lose 7-5 against Alison Goring (Toronto, ON). Hastings responded with a 7-2 win over Christine Pierce (Unionville, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Brampton Curling Classic Championship title, Hastings earned 11.600 world rankings points along with the $4,500CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, Hastings did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hastings ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
