Swabb finished 4-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Swabb defeated Bobbie Sauder (Edmonton, AB) 9-1, then won 7-4 against Andrea McCutcheon (Edmonton, AB) and 6-4 against Valerie Sweeting (Edmonton, AB). Swabb won 7-3 against Alberta's June Campbell in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic, Swabb take home 8.250 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN prize.
