In their opening game, Rankin defeated Saskatchewan's Tracy Streifel 7-3, then won 11-7 against Chelsea Carey (Winnipeg, MB) and 6-5 against Debbie McCormick (Rio, WI). Rankin won 6-5 against Stephanie McVicar (Saskatoon, SK). Rankin went on to lose 8-7 against Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Rankin earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Bank of America Schmirler Curling Classic.
