Barb Spencer (Winnipeg, MB) finished 3-2 in the 30-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Spencer defeated Jenna Loder (Winnipeg, MB) 10-2, then went on to lose 6-5 against Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC). Spencer lost 6-2 to Amber Holland (Kronau, SK) where Spencer responded with a 8-4 win over Japan's Moe Meguro. Spencer won 5-3 against Saskatchewan's Cathy Inglis in their final qualifying round match.

. For week of the event schedule, Spencer did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Spencer ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
