Fengchun Wang (Harbin, CHN) qualified for the 2009 Cactus Pheasant Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-5 against Randy Ferbey (Edmonton, AB). of the 2009 Cactus Pheasant Classic in Brooks, Alberta;

Wang won 7-2 against Wayne Middaugh (Toronto, ON), then won 7-5 against Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Wang earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Cactus Pheasant Classic. For week of the event schedule, Wang did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
