Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON) in the semifinals of the 2009 Westcoast Curling Classic in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada; and won
8-6 over
Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals.
Geall finished 5-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Geall defeated
Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT) 6-3, then went on to lose
7-3 against
Randy Ferbey (Edmonton, AB). Geall responded with a
6-1 win over
Dale Matchett (Bradford, ON). Geall won
6-4 against
Fengchun Wang (Harbin, CHN). Geall went on to lose
10-6 against
Ursel. Geall responded with a
7-6 win over
Koe. Geall won
5-1 against
Wang in their final qualifying round match.
