Jackie Lockhart (Stirling, SCO) finished 4-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lockhart defeated Netherlands's Shari Leibbrandt 4-2, then won 2-1 against Switzerland's Carine Mattille. Lockhart went on to lose 9-3 against Sweden's Stina Viktorsson. Lockhart lost 8-3 to Binia Feltscher (Flims, SUI) where Lockhart responded with a 6-2 win over Switzerland's Niki Goridis. Lockhart won 7-6 against Switzerland's Silvana Tirinzoni in their final qualifying round match.
