Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB) lost 9-7 to Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Grey Power Players' Championship, held April 14 - 19, 2009 in Grande Prairie, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Kleibrink won 8-3 over Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC) in the semifinals of the 2009 Grey Power Players' Championship in Grande Prairie, Alberta; and won 5-3 over Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) in the quarterfinals.

Kleibrink finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kleibrink defeated Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, ON) 7-6, then won 9-8 against Scott and 10-4 against Jones in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Grey Power Players' Championship, Kleibrink take home 30.000 world rankings points along with the $16,000CDN prize. For week of the event schedule, Kleibrink did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kleibrink ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
