Sweden's Nils Carlsen went on to lose 7-4 against United States's Pete Fenson. Sweden's Nils Carlsen responded with a 9-8 win over Switzerland's Ralph Stoeckli. Sweden's Nils Carlsen won 8-3 against Ireland's Robin Gray, then won 8-5 against Norway's Thomas Ulsrud and 8-3 against Germany's Sebastian Stock. Sweden's Nils Carlsen went on to lose 8-5 against Denmark's Ulrik Schmidt in their final qualifying round match.
