Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC) finished 7-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scott defeated Colleen Jones (Halifax, NS) 7-6, then won 9-8 against Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB). Scott went on to lose 8-7 against Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK). Scott responded with a 6-5 win over Marie-France Larouche (Ste-Foy, PQ). Scott won 8-3 against Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON), then won 9-4 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) and 8-7 against Jo-Ann Rizzo (Brantford, ON). Scott won 8-4 against Jan Betker (Regina, SK). Scott went on to lose 8-5 against Sherry Anderson (Delisle, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Canadian Curling Trials, Scott take home 0.000 world rankings points. For week of the event schedule, Scott did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Scott ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
