United States's Cassie Johnson won 7-4 against China's Bingyu Wang, then won 5-4 against Russia's Liudmila Privivkova and 12-1 against Japan's Ayumi Ogasawara. United States's Cassie Johnson went on to lose 6-4 against Sweden's Anette Norberg. United States's Cassie Johnson responded with a 9-4 win over Finland's Tiina Kautonen. United States's Cassie Johnson won 8-3 against Norway's Dordi Nordby, then won 10-7 against Canada's Jennifer Jones and 9-5 against Italy's Diana Gaspari in their final qualifying round match.
