Starting with hammer, Chisholm scored 1 in the first end, then added a steal of 4 in the second end. Barker scored 2 in the third end, with Chisholm responding in the fourth end scoring 3 for the 8-2 win. In the semifinals, Chisholm defeated Jodi Marthaller (Calgary, AB) 5-1 and Barker defeated Glenys Bakker (Calgary, AB) 6-2. Marthaller and Bakker earned $2,500CDN and 14.561 ranking points for their semifinal finishes. In the quarterfinals, Chisholm defeated Jessie Hunkin (Edmonton, AB) 6-3, Barker defeated Kayla Skrlik (Calgary, AB) 5-4 in an extra end, while Marthaller defeated Daria Morozova (Moscow, Russia) 5-3 and Bakker defeated Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB) 4-3.
