Ayumi Ogasawara (Sapporo, JPN) finished 6-2 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ogasawara defeated Chiaki Fukui (Hokkaido, JPN) 10-3, then went on to lose 7-2 against Chiaki Matsumura (Karuizawa, JPN). Ogasawara responded with a 9-2 win over Natsuki Saito (Aomori, JPN). Ogasawara won 12-5 against Mayu Natsuizaka (sapporo, JPN), then won 9-6 against Tori Koana (Yamanashi, JPN) and 10-4 against Azusa Arakawa (Hokkaido, JPN). Ogasawara won 12-4 against Misato Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN). Ogasawara went on to lose 7-5 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Ogasawara earned 8.550 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Japan Curling Championships. For week 25 of the event schedule, Ogasawara did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Ogasawara ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
