Totally agree. The reason is more arrogance than anything else. Don't want to do what competitor Sportsnet is doing - which is rotating back and forth from game to game - especially the important ones.

TSN sticking to their guns. Refusing to advance into the 19th century. Still a bit medieval.

Well for today, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

And the Cinderella team of the tournament just turned in a real goody, and took arguably the best team in the world to extra ends in a 7-6 game.

This is turning into one of the better STOHs for sure.

Final draw

Great matchups for 1/2 & 3/4 log jam.

Carey win with a loss for RH to Sask would see the Green and white sneak into a 1/2 game. Nice change after so many years of RH or JJ in the driver seat.

Would cause a whack of chaos for 3/4 that I haven’t even tried to figure out yet.

Cheering BC to go 6-5 and send a subpar CA home with a losing record for the tourney. Maybe will get JJ the kick in the butt she needs to get her A game back for next season. Can’t put this record on JP at 2nd, she is only throwing 2 rocks JJ has missed a pile of easy ones, and Lawes has been subpar in her setups. I noted even McEwen has made some uncharacteristic sweeping errors in judgement she normally doesn’t. So all this rhetoric that it’s the new blood at 2nd is buck passing and nothing more. Sorry JJ you need to regroup if you want to remain near the top now. Birt is showing other rinks aren’t as far behind as they once were!

SCOTTIES TIEBREAKER SCENARIOS

Been working through the scenarios, let us know if you see something missing.

So far we know Chelsea Carey and Rachel Homan are guaranteed playoff berths with their record and head to head wins over opponents.

5-WAY TIE at 8-3 for 1st Place:

Silvernagle WIN, McCarville WIN, Homan LOSS, Scheidegger WIN, Carey LOSS

In the head to head tiebreakers, teams would rank:
1. Carey 3-1 ---> Page 1v2
2. Silvernagle 3-1 ---> Page 1v2
3. Homan 2-2 ---> Page 3v4
4. McCarville 1-3 ---> tiebreaker
5. Scheidegger 1-3 ---> tiebreaker

4-WAY TIE at 8-3 for 1st Place:

Silvernagle WIN, McCarville LOSS, Homan LOSS, Scheidegger WIN, Carey LOSS

1. Carey 2-1 ---> Page 1v2
2. Silvernagle 2-1---> Page 1v2
3. Homan 1-2 ---> Page 3v4
4. Scheidegger 1-2 ---> Page 3v4

3-WAY TIE at 8-3 for 2nd Place:

Homan WIN, Silvernagle LOSS, Carey LOSS, Scheidegger WIN, McCarville WIN

1. Homan (9-2 overall) ---> Page 1v2
2. Carey (1-1)
2. McCarville (1-1)
2. Scheidegger (1-1)
Playoff positioning would come down to shootout ranking, yet to be finalized.

3-WAY TIE at 8-3 for 2nd Place:

Homan LOSS, Silvernagle WIN, Carey WIN, Scheidegger LOSS, McCarville WIN

1. Carey (9-2 overall) ---> Page 1v2
2. Silvernagle (2-0) ---> Page 1v2
3. Homan (1-1) ---> Page 3v4
4. McCarville (0-2) ---> Page 3v4

Other Outcomes from Tonight's Final Draw:

-> For Homan and Carey, a win tonight will guarantee them spots into the Page 1v2 game.
-> For Suzanne Birt, they must win over McCarville, and get help with Scheidegger losing to Carey or Silvernagle losing to Homan to force a 3-way tie for 4th place.

Scheidegger WIN, Silvernagle LOSS, McCarville LOSS, Birt WIN

4. Silvernagle (2-0) ---> tiebreaker
5. Birt (1-1) ---> tiebreaker
6. McCarville (0-2) ---> tiebreaker

Scheidegger LOSS, Silvernagle WIN, McCarville LOSS, Birt WIN

4. Silvernagle (2-0) ---> tiebreaker
5. Birt (1-1) ---> tiebreaker
6. McCarville (0-2) ---> tiebreaker

Kitchener Revisited 2003

Was hoping the PEI/No game would be featured tonight.

Before the event began didn't expect to see PEI as a serious contender.

Everybody knows the lobsters and spuds are over the top. But Birt & Co. have exceeded that standard.

Good on them.

Be glad that you get to see whatever game TSN puts on tonight. I'm in the states and, after showing every draw this week, ESPN3 decided not to stream tonight's draw!! I sure hope they don't pull that over the weekend!!!
