His slide out looked really slow. Then they kind of farted around and paused the sweeping when they switched in Nichols. They should have hammered that thing the entire way. Nevermind, though. Hope they win the World's now.

FULL 8 = FULL VALUE

Makes it by 5 or 6 inches and Brad Gushue slays the biggest monster of his life!

Ok. Who does Gushue use for their 5th player assuming Walker isn't healthy? Je Suis Charley "Superspare" Thomas?

Would love to have seen most of the fans rush Smokey and his 2 rent-a-cop assistants and flood the ice with fandom and love.

Only in Newfoundland!!!!

Woulda been nice for McDuff to return - that's the only regret!

Not really. Gushue has basically owned Edin and I don't think he has ever lost to Murdoch.

Strange as it sounds they might have preferred koe , they have had success against him

Choose your poison. Edin is 2-11 versus Gushue in head to head.

Impressive that the momentum had tipped big time to Team Canada and yet Nfld held steady and gutted out the win. Happy to see the win for Gushue, Gallant, Walker and especially Nichols, who stuck by his long-time teammate.

They have a few weeks but and I'm sure Walker will be ok but I agree Charlie Thomas. He filled in a few times this year and played great.

Give Jamie Korab a ring. He was a lot of fun to watch in his day.

If its in Edmonton - save some air fares and give Kevin Martin a dingle!

Imagine Jules & K-Mart on the bench together?

Actually, with Walker dinged and Brad still needing twice-daily therapy they really need someone who could plug 'n play with little fuss or muss:

My nominees:

1. Koe
2. Marc Kennedy
3. Braden Moskowy
4. Charley
5. Matt Wozniak

I suspect familiarity and pure physical talent tips the scales to Charley. All of the above would be superb choices.

Didn't Adam Spencer also curl with them this year? .Think him and Thomas would be the most realistic choices.

Outside shot..Adam Casey? Has been on Brad's team before so he fits in well and they will know he can curl at the level the need.

Might be fun to see Jamie Korab by the nod but if memory serves they had a falling out

I don't think they'd go without a 5th but I guess it's possible. They didn't bring one here

Brier Winner 2017

I'm so happy for Team Gushue. They have worked so hard for this and have waited so long. Well done boys, well done indeed.
