The broadcast booth is getting a little crowded with former skips and Curl Canada can only hire so many " consultants" without breaking the bank.

Pat is a chiropractor - potential income $200,000 - $500,000

pro curling has probably costhim $5 mil

starting with Duguid 45 years ago - and most recently Stoughton - with Ferbey , nedohin , and a dozen other top retirees. - you seldom hear of them entering a competion

a few play in a Senators league - most cut the chord

When they spare the lack of practise affects their % and they are embarassed at a 75% game and usually stop - or stop getting asked

Main reason they retire is because they are tired of the game and need a break.. and the knees give up !!!
just my guess

Retirement hasn't hampered COC much. Hmm. Tougher in more ways than one, maybe. #headHeldHigh
