We've seen Best in the West as a U30 event and I know I've seen people like John Cullen who said that it would have helped him as a younger curler if there were programs for curlers out of Juniors.

Love the concept, just hope though that someone who is say, 26, isn't forced to sit out as the case was for the Best of The West. It takes a bit to get team dynamics worked out and IMO I think that hurt some of the teams in that event.

I live in Edmonton, but I haven't seen this tournament advertised anywhere. It's amazing that an event of this format goes so quietly and goes completely unnoticed in such a big city as Edmonton. For some reason we got used to the idea that hockey is the most popular sport in Canada. I work for a writing company writemypapers4me, and we provide all kinds of services for students. But what I wanted to say is that, along with my staff, we love curling and we go to the gym twice a week to practice. We would love to apply for this championship, but applications are only accepted until June 30. I hope that we will have a chance to at least go and see these competitions.
Once again I want to note - it is very strange that in such a big city as Edmonton there is no advertising for this championship and it is a pity that I learn about it only on this site.
