Last rock first end

I am wondering if Gushue loses last rock in first to try and either give them one to try and keep even ends or take a bunch if lucky

I doubt that he's losing it on purpose. Starting with hammer gives you better odds of winning. He's just not winning it. And we all know that you can be eliminated because of a poor pre-match drawing.

Definitely not. They won every time at the Brier except 1. Here they've been decent but it's been a very strong week for DSC overall.
