You look at ones entire body of accomplishments when deciding who the goat is and for me only 3 make sense because all 3 have world and Olympic gold. Norberg, schmirler and Jen Jones. Tirinzoni doesn't even have an Olympic medal so , sure let's leave euros and scotties out she still shouldn't be ahead of norberg.

If tirinzoni ever wins Olympic gold we can talk about her being included but until then no. And if i had to guess and bet I'd say she never will

Paltz herself has 5 world titles and she might still win more. I doubt anyone will ever match or surpass her. She is without question, individually the greatest Switzerland has ever seen and it's debatable for the world. But when looking at her resume with teams no euro gold or Olympic medals are, fir now why I still rank ott and feltscher above her in Swiss comparison.

I realized it seems like we're debating 2 different things. Greatest of all time and greatest team.

I'm taking at qas greatest of all time overall.

But even as greatest team of all time this team shouldn't be considered. Yes they have 3 worlds in a row but again no Olympic medal of any kind. Norberg has 2 worlds and 2 olympics with the same team. Schmirler has 3 worlds and Olympic gold either the same team. Gustaffsson has 4 worlds with the same team. So in the greatest team of all time debate those 3 are my top 3 . I always say Sandra in that case

Best to remember that other than Nordby, most of the European teams in the 90s were at best "club curlers".

Yes as a team Tirinzoni has more to do if they want to be in the best of all time debate. But there is no doubt in my mind that Patz is the best shooter to ever play in the women's game. I'm a geezer, seen tham all and she is #1.

In the last ten years, the Swiss have been the cream of the crop. And, in the last ten years, the quality of curling has skyrocketed in otherwise historically weak countries. ( Japan, Korea)
Tirinzoni has won 3 straight world championships coming from the best womens curling nation, and the most competitive world championships in history.
I think Team Tirinzoni deserves a mention for goat, but maybe one more win will get them there.

Much as I'd like to concur with this, in the past ten years, Japan has exactly one women's team that has accomplished anything on the world stage. Korea has one, arguably two if winning a Curling World Cup stage counts as an accomplishment. Neither country has done anything of note in men's or mixed doubles competition. So it's hard to say that the overall level of any Asian country has skyrocketed beyond a single anomaly.

From non-existent to 3 -2nds, 2 -3rds and a 4th in worlds.
And a couple medals in the last 2 Olympics combined for these 2 Asian nations would indicate a skyrocketing improvement in womens curling compared to all other countries but Switzerland.
Mens and mixed are not part of the equation in this thread.
