6 rock FGZ??

Gushue vs Bottcher should be great game to watch. Instead, 2 or 3 interesting ends and lots of ends with teams playing for the blank. Reminiscent of watching championship curling before the FGZ. What can be done now to make games more interesting to watch?

Terrible game for spectators. Glad it ended up like it did, Boettcher making the shot. He made the only two "shots" of the game.

Thanks for the post. Kennedy came across more as wanting a better measure than angry about it. Don't blame him. And why is it every major event has old wobbly measure sticks? Buy some new ones

From what I understand, the wobbliness comes from the pin itself. Not all pins are perfect. I guess some are too lose, some aren't dead center of the circles, some are tilted, etc.

There should be a standard size tip on the measuring device that fits into a standard size pinhole device inserted in the ice 1mm larger than the tip so there's no wobble. Maybe even convert the needle measure with digital to the 1000's of an inch. They have digital measuring tapes used for dtb but I'm told aren't as accurate for measuring .
Another thought, they've already got the GPS handles for hoglines, why not insert a device under the rock in the recessed spot where they tighten the handle and another center of the pin and digitally measure which is closer. Can't be worse the than wobbly and bendable measuring sticks.
