Notable games played with only 3 players in a team

This clip from a Greek TV show wondered if you can have a 3 person curling team.

https://youtu.be/kbb17qiQ9hk

What were some notable games played with only 3 players in a team?

Here's the ones I know of:

PACC 2018, KAZ started with only 3 vs KOR

Gushue had to go to the hospital during game at 2015 Masters

Team Fujisawa flew in from Japan and played as a trio and reached semifinal at grand slam

BC played one Brier match with 3 during the Brier in 2018 because 2 members went to see their pregnant wife.

Nice! I found this report:

quote:
In the battle for 11th and 12th place, New Brunswick’s James Grattan (Oromocto) recorded the first seven-ender since 2000 on his way to a 12-5 triumph over a shortstaffed B.C. team from Kelowna skipped by Sean Geall; both vice-skip Jeff Richard and lead David Harper returned home as their wives are both expecting babies.

There were additional articles written about this VERY NICE story as well.

Team McEwen played a few games without Mike because he was hospitalized with chickenpox.

Some photos available if you look for them. They're not pretty.
