There are no page games.
The next 2 games are semifinals. The winners play in the final and the losers play for bronze.

It was an American player and because he was vaccinated Alberta Health said he could play. Chatter had the Swiss team not too happy but then agreed with masks, no touching etc and the game went on.

If you get a chance, watch that curling show from today. Shuster came on and basically set the record straight. The 4 + tests from Friday ALL came back negative Saturday morning.

Curling - its a funny little, slippery game, ain't it . . . ? ? ?

Brucie Mouat & his valiant Scots all curled in the low to mid 90s (top 3 guys anyways) and Putin's RCF machines were all in the low 70s to mid 70s . . . ! ! !

Yet, Mouat needed to draw full 4 with his final stone in 10 to avoid embarrassment . . . which he very calmly did... ! ! !

Sets stage for Scotland vs Sweden - - - as Nik the Monster polished off the Suisse in record time. I suspect he'll have a more difficult time with the stubborn Scots!

Just hoping for an outstanding gold medal final to take away from the weekend's covid mess!

There is something so off about this whole situation. It seems unlikely for 4 false-positive test results for such a small sample size of maybe a few hundred people in that bubble.
Alberta is doing around 12,000 tests daiĺy. If this accuracy holds province-wide, are they really returning 200 + false positives every day? An Ontario lab study found an extremely low < 20 false positives in 200,000 tests.

Someone needs to get to the bottom of this. It's a real black eye for Canada in the eyes of international curling.

And props to Team Shuster. By all appearances have handled the situation with poise, reasonableness and some good humour.
