He was blathering about it during pretrials. Claiming that in 2005-6 that he and the Gushue crew were exhausted. He explained that they had promotions, media responsibilities and WENT TO A BONSPIEL IN BC, and were out of gas.
It's all because Canada failed to medal last time. The thing is, if they held the trials earlier, say the end of the spring curling season and then failed to medal they would say too big a layoff.
