13-0 for Canada against Mexico. Yes very competitive. Why not have a B competition with the winner going to the last chance qualifier? Or something to that effect?

Now there’s an opportunity for the Canadian also rans (figure skating does this all the time)…get citizenship for Mexico or Brazil.

How many of the Brazilian and Mexican players are from the USA? I know one Brazilian.

This isn't for the Olympics.

I would take the Worlds events over the Olympics, but not a fan of WCF in particular. Too much money and resources spent on the Olympics when it could be spent elsewhere in the sport. than on the Olympics, IMO.

I'm glad that Botcher's team did not try to be nice and make the games closer. At least by the line scores it looked that way. If any country is going to challenge Canada's berth in the Worlds, they better not expect that and they probably did not. However, before a country challenges someone they should have curers with some minimal curling skills.

The Olympics is what funds the vast majority of everything the WCF does.

The money made for the sport during the Olympics is what allows the WCF to put on the broadcasting coverage as that is done at a significant loss every year to the WCF.

Speaking of WCF, have they just had cuts? Normally they stream the Worlds Wheelchair, and didn't, and stream PACC too and heard nada about that.

I can't speak for every club, but Olympic exposure brings in a big wave of members at the clubs I know. Definitely making the sport bigger.
