Double takeout for two on a shot rock that was almost ccompletely buried. One of best gamewinning shots ever.

I watched pretty much the whole game. This team is for real. That shot will be shot of the year. That shot is made by the best curlers 1 in 10 at best. Well done.

absolutely there was. Out turn draw instead of inturn would have guaranteed one at the most.
Skrlik made a great shot to win. But….. if shideggers rock stops sooner, the double would not have been available . She put it in the worst place possible to allow a shot for the win.
Anyways, best outcome for Alberta!!!! Have two reps at the scotties

A guard on the shot rock would have assured at least a tie as the only shot left would be a draw to the button for one.

Scheidegger made one of those in-between shots.

They were sweeping to get it securely buried, but to do that, they had to sweep it too deep which opened up the double possibility.

If I had to hazard a guess, at this level of curling, that final shot crashes on the guard 80% of the time and it's a steal of 1 or more.

Skrlik followed up with a great shot and great line call. I hope we see lots of shots like this at the Scotties.
