I wouldn’t overthink this Homan situation too much. They added the best player available and a top 5 curler in Canada. That makes them better off the bat. Good curlers can play any position (see: Einarson’s team of 4 skips).

The sweeping thing is overrated. An athletic woman in her 30s will sweep the first four rocks of the end. They’ll be fine.Frankly, they could just have the lead always take the straight side if it was any concern.

Interesting there’s at least consideration of Homan not throwing the last stones. In the end I think it’s Homan, Fleury, Miskew, Wilkes. You could talk me into Fleury calling the game.

Homan changes

Like Miskew calling the game and throwing second, Fleury throwing third and Homan at last rock. May be a situation where Homan does the Western games and Fleury the Eastern? After all, this is just a trial I would think.

Homan Team - changed my mind

Miskew calls the game, Homan cleans up at third and Fleury, with her superior draw weight, throws last.

Can you give an example of all of those called games from Miskew that you liked?

Just think she makes a lot of sense when she and Rachel get into discussions in the house. Thought it might be something to try.

Of course they have to stay together. All the good players have already found new teams.

Hmmm, I wonder if this will have anything to do with what John Cullen was saying about the rumours in BC. On Twitter he was saying there were rumours that some big names might be playing out of BC next year. There are not too many teams left that I can recall who might fit into that scenario.

Gauthier is moving out there to take over Tardi's team, which makes sense since they are cousins and he has immediate family there.

Not too surprising with Carey. Seems to make player changes yearly and team changes every couple years. Always liked Carey. One of the best pure shooters ever. Hope she lines a good new team.

Carey & Fife team up to recapture pops magic? Maybe grab young toba skip like Watling or KJones as 3rd?

Neither of those really excite me.
Too bad. Was starting to noodle something like Hodgy, EJ, Reid and Tanner for NO.

Sorry, haven't stayed current on every page in this thread but do we have Ontario (including North) sorted at all? I believe Glenn's team is staying together but everything else seemed Kablooey last time I checked in. Help?

Team Carey

The new Team Carey was just announced with Chelsea sticking with Jolene Campbell and Rachel Erickson from last season. They've added Liz Fyfe to round out the team. Given that 3 of 4 were born in Manitoba I guess that's where they'll be playing out of.
