Women's 16 Teams
North America - 6 Teams (5 Cda 1 USA) Asia Pacific - 6 Teams (3 Kor 3 Jpn) Europe - 4 Teams (2 Swe 1 Sui, 1 Rus) No GB.
Men's 16 Teams
North America - 9 Teams (8 Cda 1 USA) Asia Pacific - 1 Team (Jpn) Europe - 6 Teams) (3 GB, 2 Sui, 1 Swe) No Kor.
So, 7 countries represented. There are about 20 countries in the Pre-Olympic Qualifying Event in Turkey this week. Can we be assured that the Olympic Podium 2022 will be populated with teams from among these seven countries in Oakville?

Slam started this morning. Hasselborg upset by Koana, Jennifer Jones downed by Tabitha P. Lots of top teams and a strong international flavour. This should be a good measuring tool for the Canadian teams, men and women.
Will Koe rebound from his 3-and-out in Penticton?

Wow Hasselborg is out after a loss to Kovaleva. This once invincible team may start looking for a new coach. I see Jones grinded out a win against Wrana. Racquet lost to Einarson who no doubt was fired up after their silly loss to Fleury.

Njegovan has become a fantastic all around 3rd and Fleury makes the shots she has too make. Carey as coach has also impressed, very much like Middaugh, here's your options, here's what I think is your best one.
Problem is the front end under pressure. They were very fortunate to get out of the 8th with only a steal of 1. Fyfe had 2 basic doubles and right out of her hand both times it was NO! and both shots didn't just miss, they missed amateur side. Njegovan had to make great plan B call to get to extra.

And the missed open draw for 2 in the seventh end was costly. The last end plays out quite differently with a 2 point lead instead of one.
