Joey Hart World Conqueror
Team McEwen is going through the School of Hard Knocks.
Another game whereby "Well, we can't lose to these rejects or we'll look bad to our sponsors"
for the uptight Bottcher team.
I'm picking Joey Hart over "I couldn't make the clutch shots" Bottcher.

I'm curious to see what happen with koe In the off season. He has had an average Season for his standard . Only one one event and struggled in slams. He isnt really at the point where he can say " let's give it time ". I don't believe tardi is where koe needs him to be. He makes a ton of half shots . Kevin had to bail them out a lot over the week. And he sounded frustrated with Tyler a lot in general. I wouldn't be surprised if Kevin replaced Tyler
An yes you can argue Tyler made 2nd team all star but I'm not sure what the people doing stats were on this week . They were pretty generous. Tyler got some generous numbers. You know it's bd when cathy calls out the percentages as generous during a game

Kevin Koe is in Curmudgeon Mode: he can't get along with anyone except Kennedy.

Y'all nuts.
Tardi was the second best third at the Brier this week. Koe was the fourth best skip. Even if stats are inflated it's still wild to say Tardi wasn't good enough.

People also doubted Team Koe after 2015 Brier. The same four people, albeit with slightly different roles, won Brier & World Men's in 2016.

Agreed and to the poster above this post, Koe gave a very flattering interview where he was talking about Tardi. Armchair sports journos continue to amuse, though. You can't take someone seriously though who also says McEwen is washed up and insinuates Kennedy has never been a convincing third.

I think Karrick Martin will quit Kevin Koe end of this year. Koe is obviously a corporate shill who doesn't want to pay his players because he thinks only the skip matters. And surely Martin will see that he's only the real star material on this team and move on.

So why isn't Kennedy playing 3rd for Koe right now? Kennedy can get along with anybody. Obviously Koe doesn't want to pay Kennedy or Hebert full salary. Thats why Hebert no longer likes Koe.

Wrong again. They're actually buddies. Teams change, it's part of the game, Heebz knows that and didn'ttake it personally.
And as for Lainger, Fry being washed up, how about that shot? It's why he's there and you're writing drivel. Obviously Mike saw something in them that he didn't see in you.

McEwen still hasn't gotten over the fact BJ Neufeld quit on him.
Fry's a headcase back from the days when Gushue was a headcase too.
And Lainger just can't stop crapping on his teammates. He's not a 1st tier player any more and won't look in the mirror

Mcewen winning could be a great story and they might calm down if they do. Might not be so uncomfortable with confidence boost
I don't think Mike is washed up as some on here have said. Confident mcewen is still a threat he just...hasn't had that in a while
Your post made me think a bit. I agree that it would be good to see someone win who hasn’t before. Dunstone team would be one, too.
I want to like McEwen. I struggle with his on ice demeanour but you have made some good points regarding that, misty.

Just a point \note here. You're only allowed to sweep opposing rocks behind the T. Kennedy just swept a McEwen rock that was above the T. I don't if it made a difference but he broke that rule

Glen Howard is the best young skip in Canada.
There is no testosterone at the skip level besides Gushue.
And he's worn out.

^ YES HE DID - it was very flagrant. He never apologized.
I think Kennedy has played the game long enough to know the rules by now - so that was just trying to cheat, plain and simple. Right out of the Homan book of 'sportsmanship'. It was absolute bush league from him.
People say that Kennedy is a good team player, etc. He may well be a good team player, but this is not the first time I've seen questionable/disrespectful behaviour from him.
There's no excuse for him sweeping an opposing rock very clearly above the T-line.

Post the clip. Never ever saw Kennedy as you say as a "cheater"
You can sweep at the line and as it reaches the line or across the line.
I side with Kennedy until proof is provided.

I'm aware of the rule.
I guess it's up to you to find the clip - if any clips exist - because I already saw it live.
And, no, it was not close - it was very flagrantly above the T-line on a rock that had been hit and was spinning. Late in an end, late in the game as I recall.
I wouldn't mention it if it wasn't very clear.
Yesterday, he was in Darren's way as he was sweeping in the House. Marc was sweeping and blocking Darren from sweeping. They didn't make a big deal about it - I guess they decided that it wasn't deliberate.
But with today's sweeping above the T-line, one wonders...
There was also the time he mocked Gushue's injury a few years ago - that wasn't received very well by curling fans (I do have a clip of that one below)...
Questionable behaviours from Kennedy are adding up...

I expect Bottcher Dunstone game to get real nasty.
Bottcher's gang will not lose quietly imo.

And what did the crack TSN team of Cathy, Russ and Vic have to say about that curling violation?

Gallant will sink Team Bottcher.
Gushue covered up for his inconsistency.
Won't happen on this team.

He was well in front of the line. The announcers and the other players said nothing as they didn't notice and neither did Kennedy realize he was over the line in the heat of action. It did not make any difference in the outcome, it was not deliberate IMO but a vet should know better.

Blew it.
How long before Hebert and Kennedy figure out Gallant and Bottcher aren't clutch performers?
This team can't last long.

What is this insane verbal diarrhea problem around here this week. We need a massive chill pill, no make it a total chill transfusion, and likely some psychotherapy. Gallant has as good a resume as Kennedy/Hebert (give or take the Olympic gold). He was the top second this week, Bottcher the fourth skip. And that final shot today was a miss, sure, but Dunstone missed in the same scenario yesterday on a shot with less unknowns (the weight).

I'm very happy to see dunstone in the final. Was dreading another bottcher/gushue match which. After bottcher v.s koe yields the dullest match ups on tour. We have a chance fir a first time winner. Hopefully it'll happen
