Tabata wins ArgoGraphics Cup Title
Sapporo's Momoha Tabata shocked Satsuki Fujisawa stealing the winning point to capture final Hokkaido Tour event title. by Gerry Geurts Tied into the final end, Fujisawa had hammer coming home. After Tabata made a short angle tap to sit shot with her final rock of the game, Fujisawa was left with view of one-quarter of shot stone, buried behind a rock in the top of the house. Fujisawa's last shot delivery sailed just wide, giving Tabata, thrower of fourth stones for her team with skip Miku Nihara, second Sae Yamamoto and lead Mikoto Nakajima the win and the million yen top prize. Fujisawa, with Chinami Yoshida, Yumi Suzuki and Yurika Yoshida, came into the final undefeated, giving the Kitami-based team hammer in the first end. Fujusawa opened with a single point, with Tabata scoring in the second end. Fujisawa took the lead back, scoring one point in the third end, then after a blanked fourth end, they forced Tabata to a single, leaving the teams tied at two after 5 ends. Fujisawa got the first multiple-point score with two in the sixth end, though Tabata kept pace, getting their first deuce to even the score into the final end. Seungyoun Ha of Chuncheon, Korea, won 5-3 over Ikue Kitazawa of Nagano in the third-place game. In the semifinals, Tabata won 7-5 over Ha, scoring two in an extra end and Fujisawa won 7-3 over Kitazawa.
