Simon Perry (St. John's, NL) won 5-1 over Owen McPherson (Halifax, NS) in the Final Perry advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Atlantic University Championships, held January 15 - 18 at the Capital Winter Curling Club in Fredericton, Canada.

Perry are currently . In their opening game, Perry plays Sam Goodine (Antigonish, NS) on Wednesday at 1pm Jack MacFadyen (Cornwall, PEI) on Thursday at 8am and Jamie Stewart (Fredericton, NB) at 12:30pm and Jamie Stewart (Fredericton, NB) at 12:30pm.

For winning the Atlantic University Championships Championship title, Perry earned 3.750 world rankings points, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 130th place overall with 17.469 total points.
