Tahli Gill/Dean Hewitt (Brisbane, AUS) won 7-6 over Kristin Moen Skaslien/Magnus Nedregotten (Oslo, NOR) in the Final of the Mixed Doubles Gstaad, held October 21 - 23 in Gstaad, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Gill/Hewitt won 8-7 over Therese Westman/Robin Ahlberg (Stockholm, SWE) in the semifinals of the Mixed Doubles Gstaad in Gstaad, Switzerland; and won 8-6 over Chiaki Matsumura/Yasumasa Tanida (Nagano/Hokkaido, JPN) in the quarterfinals. of the Mixed Doubles Gstaad in Gstaad, Switzerland;
Gill/Hewitt finished 3-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gill/Hewitt lost 7-3 to Westman/Ahlberg, droppimg another game, 9-7 to Stephanie Barbarin/Wilfrid Coulot (Megeve, FRA) where Gill/Hewitt responded with a 9-3 win over Jenny Perret/Martin Rios (Glarus, SUI). Gill/Hewitt won 7-5 against Lotta Immonen/Markus Sipila (Espoo, FIN), then won 9-3 against Pia-Lisa Schoell/Joshua Sutor (Fuessen, GER) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Mixed Doubles Gstaad Championship title, Gill/Hewitt earned 38.250 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 13.125 after improving upon their best so far this season. Gill/Hewitt ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 36.125 points earned so far this season.
