Evelina Barone (Riga, LAT) lost 6-3 to Marianne Roervik (Lillehammer, NOR) in the Final of the Danish Open, held November 13 - 16 in Copenhagen, Denmark. To advance to the championship game, Barone won 5-4 over Moa Dryburgh (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the semifinals of the Danish Open in Copenhagen, Denmark; and won 7-1 over Karolina Jensen (Taarnby, DEN) in the quarterfinals. of the Danish Open in Copenhagen, Denmark;

Barone finished 2-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Barone defeated Katrine Schmidt (Hvidovre, DEN) 8-2, then went on to lose 8-3 against Roervik. Barone responded with a 4-1 win over Rebecca Mariani (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA). Barone went on to lose 5-2 against Dryburgh in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Danish Open, Barone take home 13.200 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize. Barone move up 18 spots after posting a net gain of 12.723 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 69th overall with 35.280 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
