To advance to the championship game, Loken/Tanaka won 6-3 over Katelyn McGillivray/Troy Cowan (Victoria, BC) in the semifinals of the Cloverdale Thanksgiving Mixed Doubles Curling Classic in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada; and won 5-4 over Laura Walker/Kirk Muyres (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the Cloverdale Thanksgiving Mixed Doubles Curling Classic in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada;

Loken/Tanaka finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Loken/Tanaka defeated Morgan Bowles/Wesley Wu (Delta, BC) 7-5, then won 7-4 against Donna Thornborough/Jason Larence (Penticton, BC). Loken/Tanaka went on to lose 10-6 against Woo/Wenzek. Loken/Tanaka lost 8-4 to Roxie Trembath/Sean Grassie (Winnipeg, MB) where Loken/Tanaka responded with a 8-2 win over Natasha Cummings/Nicholas Hoffard (Abbotsford, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Cloverdale Thanksgiving Mixed Doubles Curling Classic, Loken/Tanaka take home 7.700 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize. For week 12 of the event schedule, Loken/Tanaka did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 211th to 216th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 1.912 total points. Loken/Tanaka ranks 122nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.912 points earned so far this season.
