Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO) won 5-2 over Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Co-op Tour Challenge, held October 14 - 19 in Nisku, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Mouat won 5-2 over Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA) in the semifinals of the Co-op Tour Challenge in Nisku, Alberta; and won 9-2 over Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) in the quarterfinals. of the Co-op Tour Challenge in Nisku, Alberta;
Mouat finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouat defeated Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) 6-4, then won 7-3 against Marc Muskatewitz (Fuessen, GER) and 9-4 against Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN). Mouat went on to lose 5-3 against Retornaz in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Co-op Tour Challenge Championship title, Mouat earned 75.000 world rankings points along with the $38,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 45.25 after improving upon their best so far this season. Mouat ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 158.750 points earned so far this season.
