Kaitlyn Lawes (Winnipeg, MB) won 7-3 over Youbeen Park (Seoul, KOR) in the Final of the Saville Grand Prix, held September 12 - 14 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Lawes won 5-3 over Eun ji Gim (Uijeongbu, KOR) in the semifinals of the Saville Grand Prix in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 10-3 over Kate Cameron (St. Adolphe, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the Saville Grand Prix in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
 
Lawes finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lawes defeated Emma Deschiffart (Edmonton, AB) 10-2, then won 7-2 against Serena Gray-Withers (Edmonton, AB) and 9-2 against Nancy Martin (Wakaw, SK). Lawes went on to lose 5-2 against Gim in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Saville Grand Prix Championship title, Lawes earned 47.250 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN first prize cheque. Lawes move up 5 spots after posting a net gain of 28.95 points improving upon their best 1 results so far this season, ranking 16th overall with 196.750 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
