Mouat finished 8-4 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouat defeated Mathias Genner (Kitzbuehel, AUT) 12-2, then won 9-6 against Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi (Karuizawa, JPN) and 9-3 against Hyojun Kim (Uiseong, KOR).
