Zach Davies (Edmonton, AB) lost 9-2 to Kolby MacDonald (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Excel Cup, held February 15 - 17, 2025 at the Okotoks Curling Club in Okotoks, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Davies won 8-4 over Harrison Hrynew (Vancouver, BC) in the semifinals of the 2025 Excel Cup in Okotoks, Alberta, Canada;
 
Davies finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Davies defeated Ben Kiist (Edmonton, AB) 5-4, then won 6-1 against Hrynew and 7-2 against Rhett Mailloux (Kingman, AB). Davies went on to lose 7-6 against MacDonald in their final qualifying round match.
