Kolby MacDonald (Edmonton, AB) won 9-2 over Zach Davies (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Excel Cup, held February 15 - 17, 2025 at the Okotoks Curling Club in Okotoks, Canada. To advance to the championship game, MacDonald won 5-3 over Ben Kiist (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals
 
MacDonald finished 4-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacDonald defeated Nathan Schoenhardt (Edmonton, AB) 7-3, then won 8-3 against Nolan Duncan (Calgary, AB) and 11-5 against Dylan Derksen (Saskatoon, SK). MacDonald won 7-6 against Davies in their final qualifying round match.
