Adams Jr. finished 12-5 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Adams Jr. lost 6-0 to Al Hackner (Thunder Bay, ON), then responded with a 7-2 win over Denis Malette (Thunder Bay, ON). Adams Jr. won 6-4 against Andrew Sinclair (Thunder Bay, ON). Adams Jr. went on to lose 7-1 against Chris Silver (Thunder Bay, ON).
