Moser finished 2-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Moser lost 5-4 to Michael Carss (Saskatoon, SK), then responded with a 7-2 win over Mark Clarke (Dalmeny, SK). Moser won 6-2 against Aaron Shutra (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Nutana SaskTour Men's Spiel, Moser take home 8.250 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize.
