Courtney Smith (Naseby, NZL) lost 6-4 to Becker in the Final of the New Zealand National Championships, held June 26 - 30, 2024 at the Naseby Curling Club in Naseby, New Zealand. To advance to the championship game, Smith won 6-5 over Bridget Becker (Naseby, NZL) in the semifinals of the 2025 New Zealand National Championships in Naseby, New Zealand;

Smith finished 5-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith defeated Rachael Pitts (Naseby, NZL) 11-4, then won 9-7 against Tahlia Petersen (Naseby, NZL). Smith went on to lose 5-4 against Becker. Smith responded with a 8-2 win over Joanna Olszewski (Naseby, NZL). Smith won 7-2 against Chelsea Suddens (Naseby, NZL), then won 11-1 against Eleanor Heald (Naseby, NZL) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the New Zealand National Championships, Smith take home 5.500 world rankings points. For week 1 of the event schedule, Smith did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
