Tori Koana/Go Aoki (Yamanasshi, JPN) won 9-4 over Therese Westman/Robin Ahlberg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the Final of the Mixed Doubles Super Series - Winnipeg, held November 7 - 10 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. To advance to the championship game, Koana/Aoki won 8-1 over Randine Baker/Tanner Lott (Selkirk, MB) in the semifinals of the Mixed Doubles Super Series - Winnipeg in Winnipeg, Manitoba;
Koana/Aoki finished 5-1 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koana/Aoki defeated Kirstin Nickel/Gabriel Nickel (Hudson, WI) 12-3, then won 7-1 against Westman/Ahlberg and 8-1 against Sherry Just/Kyle Cherpin (Prince Albert, SK). Koana/Aoki won 13-11 against Baker/Lott. Koana/Aoki went on to lose 6-2 against Robyn Henry/Rob Gordon (Winnipeg, MB). Koana/Aoki responded with a 11-1 win over Rhea Teranishi/Mike Siwicki (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Mixed Doubles Super Series - Winnipeg Championship title, Koana/Aoki earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 15 of the event schedule, Koana/Aoki did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Koana/Aoki ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
